I'm getting a lot of sales of the codex rules all the sudden, which typically means it's being talked about on some forum or blog somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere.

Riddle of Steel has been defunct for years now. The fans have been keeping it alive in unofficial form. You can even buy the PDFs to help support the fan community. Several fans are also developing alternative versions of the game that look pretty darn sweet.

Jake is also working on something entirely new which sounds very promising, I think he talked about it somewhere on the TROS fan forum.

I get little flare ups of business every couple of months, usually it's from some discussion on a forum somewhere and I'll find it and post a link here. This time no idea but I doubt it has anything to do with TROS.

Codex Martialis really doesn't have anything to do with TROS other than the fact that I did some writing for some Riddle of Steel books. The Codex is really a completely different system, TROS combat focuses mostly on wound effects, Codex is about the dynamics of the fight, and not just a one on one fight but larger group melees.

Every TROS combat I ever played was very quick and very gory. It was a lot of fun, (especially when I played with Jake) but it is a very different experience.

Just out of curiosity, to see if my Google skillz were up to the task, I tried ferreting out where people might be talking about Codex Martialis. All I found was an off-hand reference to it on a post at MyArmoury.com (don't you already hang out there?).

Yah I found that too, that wasn't it, it's probably going on in a private forum. Still selling too ... it will be a nice Christmas for me ;)

Maybe it's just an upswing because it's Christmas.

I've got the Magic book really almost done, but somebody just borrowed my second copy of CLM 849 which I need to finish. Now I'm going to have to buy a 3rd copy. I guess I probably won't get it done before Christmas.
