The HEMA longsword rankings came out in March of this year, I still made it in the top 20, actually ranked number 11 now (tied with young Simon Torell of GHFS, Sweden), I moved up a couple of notches due to a decent showing in last years Boston tournament, but I think I'm going to go down again soon because they just had another really big tournament (120 people I believe) in Longpoint this year that I wasn't in. A guy from my club got 3rd place in grappling though (and then got his knee sprained in his last match).

I guess you'll just have to go do well, er I mean WIN, yeah WIN another tournament soon to keep up your ranking. ;) Tough news on that knee sprain. I don't doubt he would have have done well if his knee would have been in geed enough shape to stay in the longsword tournament.

Seeing as Axel Petterson and one of those Slovak guys are going to be there, along with the other usual suspects (top-notch US guys like Edelson) I doubt I'd have a real chance to win, but I'll try to make the top 10 like last time. I'm counting on you to bring home a medal for the club this time ;)

Speaking of which, I should also announce here that another guy from our club, Christian Trosclair, got 3rd place in grappling in the heavyweight division in the recent Longpoint tournament, currently the largest HEMA tournament in the US.

You may be counting until those rabid NOLA chickens come home. Even in my heyday of Rapier fencing I think the best I ever did was 3rd place, although admittedly that was probably in an area with some of the best Rapierists in the world at the time (may still be for all I know.)

Ok, very late tonight I am off to Boston to fight in a tournament and on Monday, do another lecture at the Higgins Armoury, the latter of which has been taking up all my time the last several weeks.

Wish me luck! When I get back I'll resume work on Codex Stuff.

I think there is going to be a livestream which I'll post a link to here if I remember.
