Garrot

I think the garrot should be added into the weapons list. Here is my idea for it.

Garrot, exotic weapon.

May only be used when successfully sneak attacking a an opponent from behind. Must make an attack roll at melee to close into grapple (as usual). Every round the hold is maintained the opponent automatically takes 2d6+str subduable damage. Once uncouncous the target suffocateds in 1-4 rounds.

The strangler simply has to maintain the hold, and gets a bonus die on all grapple checks that he puts at least one die into (like a shield). An opponent cannot be garroted if he has a bevor or gorget on, nor if he is undead, etc.

No opinions by anyone, well I think it is a good idea, and I think the rules are fair, but feedback would be appreciated. ;)

I think it should require a forced critical or a bypass

Hmm, I don't think you should bypass unless they have armor in the face area (which won't be common since I am imagining men on guard as having less than full armour, mainly medium armours.)

I'm ok with a forced critical. also I think there should be some way of dealing more damage otherwise it is a crap weapon mechanically. If you sneak attacks someone (your a theif) you can have like 6 die, you would waist almost all of those after you get the garrot in. As opposed to just stabbing someone a bunch.

Perhaps instead of automatically doing damage every round, it will do 1d6+str every time you put a die into it automatically, like a bear hug.
