Other than the fact that they are basically neolithic weapons, I think they are cool. But I also only know of them being used as scaled for birds and small animals like rabbits or maybe goats. Do you know of them being used as weapons against people?

Hmm, I don't have anything solid, but a player asked me about them, and I though I recalled manhunters and vaqueros (my spanish is crap) in the new world using them. Maybe not vaqueros, but some kind of ranchers I thought used bolas.

apparently used by south american gauchos for hunting. Still would be a cool weapon for trying to capture fleeing targets though.

Yeah they were used all over the world but I've never heard of them used against people, but they are a cool weapon. We actually used to make some out of tennis balls when I was a kid they kind of worked.
