Fight #2 round 3
The cunning Hobgoblin, though angered by his injury and tempted to go all out, elects to continue to cautiously snipe at Lukas, and tries another one-die attack.
Lukas, sweating now as he sense the end is near, tries to match the attacks one by one.

Blocked! The Hobgoblin grimly tries another thrust...
H 1
L 8+
The Hobgoblin has rolled a natural 1, which generates an automatic counter-attack. Lukas has two dice left and now begins his own careful series of cuts and thrusts.
The Hobgoblin, grinning an evil grin through sharp teeth, thrust a second time, but was overzealous in his lunge, and groped awkwardly for a fraction of a second trying to bring his halberd back into line. This was the only opening Lukas needed, and he immediately cut at the beasts forearm with his longsword, as the Hobgoblins triumphant sneer fell into a look of almost comical dismay
L 19+8=27
H 16+8=24
Hit! Damage is D12, a 4+3 =7 -3 for the Armor DR, is 4
Lukas still has a die left and the Hobgoblin is out of dice, so this one goes against his passive defense.
The first cut opened up a wound on the creatures forearm, the beast was stunned as Lukas cut a dopplehau back 'round again, this time aiming for it's corded neck
L 9 + 8=17
Hit! Damage is D12 a 9+3 =11 - 3 for the Armor =9
The second Hobgoblin is dead.
The blade cut deep into the beasts throat, lodging for a moment in it's spine. A weakened and half-stunned Lukas struggled for a bit to wrench his blade free, and began to wipe it off, confused momentarily by his own blood which kept dripping on the blade, mixing with that of the hobgoblin.
Thats when the third Hobgoblin, attracted by the noise, clambered up the bank of the creek bed.
